Richie Smith is a Boston-based guitarist and composer whose music combines everything from jazz to rock, from contemporary classical to experimental music to make for an event to remember. Through technical virtuosity, creative effects, and exciting arrangements, Richie keeps listeners on the edge of their seats.

Color is at the heart of all that Richie creates. Whether it be directly visible in Color Room or felt in the shifting harmonies of his music, Richie pays close attention to color. Timbre, harmony, dissonace, and effects all  play into his internal synesthetic world and this careful attention to detail translates to a vivid experience for listeners and audience members alike.

Richie holds an MM in Modern American Music: Guitar Performance from Longy School of Music and a BM in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. He currently teaches privately throughout Boston and the greater Boston area.

Richie is the baritone guitarist of singer/songwriter rock band Holystone, he is also a frequent collaborator with drummer Zak King (Ice Giant, Dzö-nga) and Eric Klaxton (Soggy Po' Boys, Rhegos).
